Job Summary
The Parts Manager is responsible for leading the parts department to ensure efficient operations, strong profitability, and excellent service for both internal and external customers. This role oversees inventory management, purchasing, team development, and vendor relationships while maintaining optimal stock levels to support dealership operations. The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive professional with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Qualifications
Required:
-
Prior experience as a Parts Manager or in a leadership role within an automotive parts department
-
Strong knowledge of automotive parts, inventory control, and dealership operations
-
Proficiency in dealership management systems (DMS)
-
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
-
Ability to analyze sales data and manage department performance
-
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:

Experience working in a dealership setting

Knowledge of warranty processes and manufacturer guidelines

Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
Responsibilities
-
Oversee daily operations of the parts department, including inventory, purchasing, and sales

Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support service and sales departments

Monitor parts sales, margins, and department profitability

Hire, train, supervise, and support parts department staff
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers

Ensure accurate processing of parts orders and timely fulfillment

Conduct inventory audits and address discrepancies
-
Collaborate with service and sales teams to ensure parts availability and operational efficiency
-
Maintain compliance with company policies and manufacturer requirements
