Monroe Chamber of Commerce Announces 2025 NELA Young Professionals Committee

Monroe, LA – January 14, 2025 – The Monroe Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the formation of its new NELA Young Professionals (YP) Committee for 2025. This dynamic group is set to bring fresh energy and innovative ideas to the Chamber, fostering the growth and development of the area's emerging leaders.

The Young Professionals Committee is led by Chair Patience Talley from Louisiana Delta Community College, with Ashley Dowling of the Monroe Chamber staff overseeing the initiative. The committee is comprised of a diverse and talented group of individuals, including:

- Hollis Walker, Discover Monroe-West Monroe

- Camryn Thompson, Louisiana Delta Community College

- Sawyer Ryder, Kinetix

- Markeaya Eaton, Chase

- Sarah Legg, Guaranty Bank & Trust

- Jessie Phillips, Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union

"We are thrilled to see such a talented and enthusiastic group of young professionals come together to lead this committee," said Ashley Dowling. The NELA Young Professionals is a thriving group that brings together the area's brightest new leaders. Meeting on the second Tuesday of each month, these young professionals network and engage with presentations from local leaders. Through practical experience within the organization, they develop essential leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Additionally, they gain a sense of responsibility and empowerment by actively working within their community. Anyone is more than welcome to attend the Young Professionals luncheons.
