April is Child Abuse Prevention Month — a time to raise awareness, advocate for change, and stand together to protect our most vulnerable citizens: our children.

To launch this important month, The Center for Children & Families hosted Stand for Hope Together on April 3rd, a powerful event that brought together city and state leaders, dedicated advocates, and members of the public in a united stand against child abuse.

Monroe Mayor Friday Ellis and West Monroe Mayor Staci Mitchell issued a joint proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.
