Public Service Commission Candidate Forum Set for September 29 at ULM
Forum begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the 5th Congressional District Candidate Forum at 6 p.m.
WEST MONROE, La. — Community members are invited to hear directly from candidates seeking to serve on the Louisiana Public Service Commission during a candidate forum on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 5:30 to 6 p.m. at the University of Louisiana Monroe.
Join the West Monroe–West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce, Monroe Chamber of Commerce, KEDM Public Radio, ULM, KTVE/KARD, KNOE, and the Alliance for Affordable Energy for a candidate forum focused on informing our community and encouraging meaningful public dialogue.
The forum will provide residents and business owners an opportunity to learn more about the candidates’ priorities and perspectives. With affordable, reliable utility service important to households and businesses alike, the event offers an opportunity for community members to become better informed about those seeking to serve on the commission.
In addition to the in-person event, organizers have arranged radio coverage on 90.3 KEDM and online streaming through KEDM (YouTube Channel), KTVE My ArkLaMiss Plus, and KNOE platforms. These media partnerships are intended to make the forum accessible to residents throughout the region.

Attendees are encouraged to remain for the 5th Congressional District Candidate Forum, which begins immediately afterward at 6 p.m. Together, the forums will offer an evening of civic engagement and opportunities to hear from candidates seeking to represent the region at the state and federal levels.
