Stalanda Butcher Becomes Executive Director For ARCO, A Community Resource

 

MONROE, LA- Following the retirement of Roma Kidd, Stalanda Butcher has become the Executive Director of ARCO, A Community Resource, effective July 1.

Butcher has over twenty years of experience in child advocacy, strategic planning, and partnership development in the nonprofit industry. Most recently, Butcher was the Chief Advocacy Officer for The Center for Children and Families.  She was also the Vice President of Head Start Services for the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities (LEH)/Prime Time, a Program Manager of School Based Health for the St. Francis Medical Center, and had various leadership positions with the Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana.
 

“I am honored to serve as the new Executive Director of ARCO,” said Butcher. “For decades, ARCO has supported individuals with intellectual disabilities to live lives of dignity, purpose, and opportunity. I am grateful to the ARCO Board of Directors for their confidence in me and look forward to building upon the strong foundation that has already been established.”
 

Butcher earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Southern University. She earned her Master of Public Health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and a Master of Education from Grand Canyon University.

Stalanda has an awesome track record of organizational management and partnership development. Stalanda will help ARCO enter its next phase of innovation and growth. The Board would also like to thank Roma Kidd for 45 years of incredible leadership and immense dedication to ARCO."
