City of Monroe Announces 2026 Public Pool Season

(Monroe, LA) – The City of Monroe announces the opening of its two public swimming pools for the 2026 summer season.
Johnson Pool, located in the Johnson Community Center at 2800 Burg Jones Lane, and Marbles Pool, located in the Liller Marbles Community Center at 2950 Renwick Street, are open for the 2026 summer season and will remain open through July 31, 2026. Both pools will be closed June 19 and July 4 due to City holidays.
Pool hours are Tuesday through Saturday, from 11 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM. Security will be on site at both pools.
The following rules will be enforced:
- No backpacks, diaper bags or glass containers allowed
- No running, horseplay, profanity or roughhousing allowed
- No alcoholic beverages allowed
- Patrons must follow instructions of pool staff and lifeguards at all times
Visitors are encouraged to bring sunscreen, towels, water and snacks. A limited number of lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas will be available on site.
