KTVE/KARD Celebrates 8th Annual Homeless Veterans Food Drive
More Than 50 Tons of Food Collected to Support Local Veterans
MONROE, LA — KTVE NBC 10 and KARD FOX 14 are proud to announce the success of Our 8th Annual Homeless Veterans Food Drive with almost 8 tons collected this year while continuing a community tradition dedicated to helping homeless and at-risk veterans throughout Northeast Louisiana and South Arkansas.
Since the food drive began eight years ago, the generosity of viewers, local businesses, organizations, and community members has resulted in the collection of more than 50 tons of food to help support veterans in need. All donations benefit local veteran assistance programs and organizations that provide essential resources to those who have bravely served our country.
The annual initiative brings together the Ark-La-Miss community with a shared mission: ensuring that no veteran goes hungry. Food collected during the drive is pre-packed by Mac’s Fresh Market and then collected by station volunteers and distributed through local organizations who work directly with homeless and disadvantaged veterans.
"We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support our community has shown over the past eight years," said Randy Stone, General Manager of KTVE/KARD. "Reaching more than 50 tons of donated food is a remarkable milestone and a testament to the generosity of our viewers and the compassion they have for the men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country."
KTVE/KARD would like to thank all our local partners and volunteers who made this year such a success.
Thank you to: Mac’s Fresh Market, Parker Alexander, United Way of NELA, The Wellspring, The City of Monroe and Karl Malone Group.
