Monroe Chamber and Grow NELA Encourage Businesses to Register with Source Louisiana
Monroe, LA — As Louisiana continues to experience significant economic momentum driven by large-scale investments such as the Meta Data Center project in Northeast Louisiana and the recently announced data center development in the Shreveport area, the Monroe Chamber of Commerce and Grow NELA are encouraging local businesses to take advantage of a new statewide resource designed to increase access to opportunity.
Louisiana Economic Development (LED) has launched Source Louisiana, a free online statewide business directory and connection hub that allows Louisiana companies to showcase their services, certifications, capacity, and capabilities directly to prime contractors and major project leaders.
The platform, powered by Supplier.io, was created to make it easier for large-scale developments to identify qualified local providers. More than 75,000 Louisiana businesses have already been pre-populated in the system using public records.
“In order to maximize the economic impact of large projects, it is critical that we find a way to efficiently connect local businesses to these projects,” said Rob Cleveland, President and CEO of Grow NELA. “Louisiana Economic Development has been successful in recruiting massive new investment in a variety of industry sectors. This program will directly connect our local businesses and entrepreneurs to the many opportunities of these great projects.”
The Monroe Chamber of Commerce is encouraging all local businesses, regardless of size or industry, to complete the simple registration process.
“With the scale of investment happening across our region, it is important that our member businesses are positioned to participate,” said Mike Downhour, President of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce. “Source Louisiana provides a direct pathway for companies to increase visibility and connect with the types of projects shaping the future of our state.”
Registration is free and open to all Louisiana-based businesses. The process includes three key steps:
- Register at SourceLouisiana.com
- Verify any pre-populated information for accuracy
- Update and enhance your profile to maximize visibility
