North 6th Street Improvements Groundbreaking

(Monroe, LA) - Mayor Friday Ellis and the City of Monroe are excited to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for the N 6th Street Improvements Project on January 11, 2024, at 1:30 PM. The event will take place at 607 N 6th St, near the corner of N 6th St and Arkansas Rd.
 
The N 6th Street Improvements Project is part of the City's ongoing commitment to maintaining and upgrading City roads. This project will be focused on North 6th Street from Louisville Avenue to Stubbs Avenue. Key aspects of the project include patching, milling, overlaying with asphalt pavement, and the installation of new pavement striping. Additionally, curb, gutter, and drainage improvements will be assessed and integrated into the construction plans. Funding for the N 6th Street Improvements is made possible through the City's Capital Infrastructure Program.
