- Job Title: Director of Development and Advocacy
 
- Job Description: Overview - The Director of Development and Advocacy (“DDA”) takes a leadership role in working with the Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) to plan and implement a strategic development and fundraising program to meet the short—and long-term needs of Girl Scouts of Louisiana—Pines to the Gulf. This position collaborates with internal and external partners and stakeholders, including the Council’s Board of Directors, board committees, and volunteers, to execute successful fundraising initiatives. As a key executive team member, the DDA routinely exercises discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of significance necessary to achieve the Council’s vision, goals, and objectives.
 
- Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, marketing, business, or a similar field is required.
  • An associate’s degree with advanced years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of fundraising experience is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Proven experience in budget development, grant management, and fundraising events is required. Experience in a youth-based, non-profit environment is preferred.
