Dietary Server Full Time 10A - 7P Rotating Schedule

Position Summary
The Dietary Aide performs a number of kitchen activities including, but not limited to, dish washing, general cleaning duties, daily meal service, assisting other dietary positions with meal preparation and storing food and non-food supplies.
Essential Job Duties
- This position is a Safety Sensitive Position. The essential functions, physical demands and mental competencies of this job require the employee to maintain the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and pots and operates dish washing equipment. Use all cleaning chemicals and materials as prescribed and handle in a safe manner.
- Distribute and store clean pots, dishes and utensils.
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures and standard precautions of safety.
- Taking and delivering food and beverage orders.
- Ensuring resident satisfaction.
- Ensuring that quality standards and service are being delivered.
- Deliver meals to residents unable to dine in the dining room.
- Maintain assigned work station in a safe and sanitary condition.
- Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
- Follow safety regulations; report injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to the supervisor.
- May assist with basic kitchen preparations and/or serving.
- Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors promoting a homelike environment.
- Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor for the benefit of the residents.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.
- Must meet all healthcare requirements, including Tuberculosis skin test
- Must be in positive standing with all healthcare agencies, including the Direct Services Workers Registry.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
This position is very active and requires constant standing/walking and repetitive motions, frequent bending/stooping, reaching, lifting/handling, pushing/pulling and occasional carrying. The employee must frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and the frequency of treatments may vary.
