Ouachita Green's Water Sweep

Ouachita Green invites residents to join Water Sweep 2026, a parish‑wide cleanup of 11 waterways across Ouachita Parish on Saturday, September 12, from 8–11 a.m. Volunteers can help on the water using boats, kayaks, or canoes, or assist along the shoreline, where litter often washes into local waterways.

Participants should wear closed‑toed shoes and bring a filled, refillable water bottle. Register at https://ouachitagreen.org/volunteer/ so organizers can plan supplies for each location. Everyone who registers and attends will receive a Texas Roadhouse gift card and be entered to win one of two $50 Restaurant Cotton gift cards.

Water Sweep is a great opportunity to earn community service hours, meet new people, and help keep Ouachita Parish’s waterways clean and healthy.
