Ouachita Green's Water Sweep
The Ouachita Parish Water Sweep is an annual community cleanup event where volunteers come together to remove litter and debris from 12 different waterways across the parish. Volunteers are needed both on land and in boats to help clean the banks and waterways. This is a great opportunity to protect our local environment and enjoy the natural beauty of our area. Participants should wear closed-toe shoes and bring a filled, refillable water bottle. Cleanup supplies will be provided. Together, we can make a visible difference in keeping our waterways clean and healthy! Please register for your location online so we will know how many supplies to bring to each location.
