Farmer's Market Ribbon Cutting
Join the Monroe Chamber and the City of Monroe as we cut the ribbon at the Monroe's Farmer's Market!
(Monroe, LA) - The City of Monroe is excited to announce the season opening of the Monroe Farmers’ Market, a spot for fresh, locally grown produce from Northeast Louisiana. Join us for the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 9:00 AM, at the 1200 Block of Washington Street, directly across from J.S. Clark Magnet School.
The Monroe Farmers’ Market will be open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Shoppers can find a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and other local products, making it a great place to get healthy, farm-fresh foods while supporting local.
“We believe supporting our local growers and providing fresh, healthy produce to our community is very important.” said Mayor Friday Ellis. “The Monroe Farmers’ Market is more than just a place to buy fresh produce; it’s a community spot where people can meet growers, learn about their food, and enjoy seasonal offerings. It helps our economy, promotes local, and brings our community together.”
