Mayor Ellis, together with the City of Monroe and Dollar General Market, are thrilled to celebrate the opening of the new Dollar General Market. This significant development delivers on a promise to enhance the availability of fresh food options for the community. Designed to serve the local population, the store provides a comprehensive shopping experience, bringing together household necessities under one roof. This launch marks the first fresh food grocery store to open in the neighborhood in more than two decades.

The ribbon cutting is scheduled for March 6 at 4 PM at 4203 Jackson St., just south of the City of Monroe Annex building.
