Dragonfly Sculpture Ribbon Cutting + Unveiling

Please join us for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the return of Monroe’s beloved Dragonfly sculpture to Forsythe Park!

Originally created in 1995 by local artist Edmund Williamson, the Dragonfly became a treasured community landmark and childhood memory for generations of Monroe residents.

After years away from the park, the sculpture has been carefully repaired, repainted, and restored by Brooke Foy through a community-supported effort led by the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council and the Playground League!
