Graphic Packaging International makes generous donation to The Northeast Louisiana Children's Museum
The Northeast Louisiana Children’s Museum received a significant donation towards construction and educational programming from Graphic Packaging International that coincides with the sustainable consumer packaging company’s century of operations in the region.
On September 9, during a 100-Year Commemoration Ceremony at their West Monroe paperboard manufacturing facility, Graphic Packaging presented a gift of $100,000 to The Children’s Museum’s Board. “Graphic Packaging has a long history of commitment to their customers, employees, and community. This generous donation to our relocation project aligns with their mission of investing in the future workforce and our community,” said The Children’s Museum Director Melissa Saye.
Graphic Packaging’s Vice President of Paperboard Manufacturing, Bill MacPherson, added, “We are excited to support a place where thousands of students can experience the joy of discovery and develop essential problem-solving skills each year. Through this partnership, we aim to highlight rewarding opportunities in manufacturing and pave the way for our industry to continue to thrive.”
Fundraising for the new educational anchor is a key focus in the coming months. Development Director Dawn Landry said, “The manufacturing industry is a vital part of our culture in northeast Louisiana, and our community is blessed to have a world-recognized leader who recognizes the need and value of investing in the next generation.”
