In years past\, Monroe regional Airport used to have "Ambassadors" to greet incoming flights to welcome them to Monroe and thank them for flying Monroe. When the Monroe Chamber of Commerce was dedicating the new 20x10 foot mural at the airport\, a Delta flight landed and the passengers had to walk through our dedication. To ease the awkwardness of this\, our Ambassadors and attendees started cheering for the passengers--every one of them. The appreciation and smiles went a long way to making everyone realize we need to do this regularly. Join us for this meeting and help us plan how to bring this tradition back!
